ABOUT THE PROJECT
The International Crane Foundation’s (ICF) headquarters in Wisconsin, provides a place of refuge for all 15 species of cranes, a place of research for international leaders in the conservation field, and a place of inspiration for the more than 30,000 people who visit the site annually. This 2.9 million dollar exhibit titled Spirit of Africa focuses on the species of cranes native to sub-Saharan Africa, consisted of four live crane exhibits, interpretive displays and interactive experiences.
As a member of a dynamic exhibit team, that included staff members of ICF, 106th Group, and Blue Rhino Studios, I was responsible for creative direction, writing, layout of signs, brainstorming and conceptual development for interactive experiences for the International Crane Foundation’s 2.9 million dollar African crane exhibit, featuring four live crane exhibits, interpretive displays and interactive experiences.
